About Us - A History of Family Quilts

We established Family Quilts in 1996 as a Utah family interested in preserving family history by creating heirloom quilts that can be passed from generation to generation. We decided that making custom quality would be the strong point of the venture and have been making high quality custom quilts of all types since then.

We create high-quality quilts using a long-arm quilting machine which allows us to custom-quilt for you. Long-arm quilting allows the quilter to move the machine over the quilt as the quilt stays stationary.  These machines ensure lasting quality in a timely manner; this personal touch creates character.

		Shortly after we found our quilts to be a large success, we started to create tools for other quilters - primarily quilting frames. We have recently started to make these frames available to order and can be found under the Quilt Frames section of the site.  If you're looking for a little more than a quilt, be sure to check out the frames.

Although we started and still function in the state of Utah, we will fill orders for quilts and frames worldwide.
